By adding CHIP to your Discord server or using the dashboard, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
✅ 1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CHIP Discord bot ("the bot") and its associated web dashboard ("the dashboard"). By adding the bot to your server or accessing the dashboard, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, please remove the bot from your server and discontinue use of the dashboard.
🎯 2. Permitted Use
You may use CHIP for:
- Managing your Discord server's moderation, music, tickets, and community features
- Configuring server settings through the web dashboard
- Running community events such as giveaways, polls, and Q&A boards
- Collecting and displaying server reviews submitted by your members
- Any lawful purpose consistent with Discord's own Terms of Service
🚫 3. Prohibited Use
You must not use CHIP to:
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other Discord users
- Conduct illegal activities including but not limited to fraud, spam, or distribution of illegal content
- Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or abuse the bot's API or dashboard endpoints
- Circumvent rate limits, security measures, or authentication systems
- Impersonate other users, bots, or official Discord services
- Use the bot in a way that violates Discord's Terms of Service
- Scrape or mass-collect data from the dashboard or bot responses
🗂️ 4. Data and Privacy
Your use of CHIP involves the collection and storage of certain data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the bot, you consent to this data collection on behalf of yourself and your server members.
As a server administrator, you are responsible for informing your members that CHIP is active in your server and may collect data as described in the Privacy Policy.
⚡ 5. Service Availability
- CHIP is provided "as is" without any guarantee of uptime, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose
- We may perform scheduled maintenance that temporarily makes the bot unavailable
- We do not guarantee that the bot will be free from bugs, errors, or interruptions
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time
⚖️ 6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CHIP and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the bot or dashboard.
This includes, but is not limited to, data loss, server disruption, or moderation errors.
🔐 7. Account and Dashboard Access
- Dashboard access requires a valid Discord account with Administrator or Manage Server permissions
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account
- Do not share dashboard access with unauthorised individuals
- We reserve the right to revoke dashboard access for violations of these Terms
🛑 8. Termination
We reserve the right to remove CHIP from any server and revoke dashboard access without notice if we determine that:
- These Terms or Discord's Terms of Service are being violated
- The bot is being used for illegal or harmful activities
- Continued operation poses a risk to other users or our infrastructure
You may terminate use at any time by removing the bot from your server.
🔄 9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of CHIP after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
We recommend checking this page periodically.
